Anderson gives backing to Cambs community events
Two fun-filled festivals in Cambridge have received a total of £9,500 in sponsorship from the Anderson Group.
Anderson is proud to be the Principal Sponsor of the week-long Cherry Hinton Festival on September 9-16, which celebrates the best of the local community.
Meanwhile on September 23, the Family STEAM Festival, organised by the Kite Teaching School Alliance, is jam-packed with a wide range of workshops built around involving children in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths).
Anderson’s in-house trainer, Steve Hammond, is looking forward to the day and said: “We are also providing volunteers, holding drainage workshops for children at the Family STEAM Festival as well as helping with wider odd-jobs.
“It is our role as a developer to make sure we are bringing young people into the industry and the Family STEAM Festival is a perfect opportunity. We are looking forward to putting on our usual sustainable drainage exercise as well as the African drumming!”
Anderson Group Managing Director Andrew Jay said: “As a company, we take our community responsibilities extremely seriously and like to get to know and support local people in the areas where we operate.
“We are delighted to be involved in both local festivals and wish the organisers every success and commend everyone who is taking part in these fun-packed community events.”
