Anderson invests £1m in new plant
25 March 2021
Although only three months into the new year, Anderson has already invested over £1 million in new plant equipment.
The newly purchased machinery – which includes 16 nine-ton dumpers, four six-ton dumpers and six eight-ton diggers – will augment the current inventory and will help meet increased demand across all Anderson construction and development sites.
The new machines will also reduce the amount of rehire equipment required, which in turn gives the company better control over the quality of machines on site.
All the new machines are fitted with Stage V engines, which limit the particulate matter produced by the engine, therefore reducing air pollution. The new dumpers also now come with forward facing cameras, anti slip steps and hydraulic handbrakes. Other newly-acquired equipment includes compressors, mixers, generators, disc cutters and power tools.
Gillian Black, Fixed Assets & Compliance Manager of MAP (Anderson’s plant subsidiary) said of the new stock, “It’s exciting to see the new machines being delivered and it’s good to buy machines that help the environment. It’s also a clear sign that the company is growing, which is great to see, especially after the last 12 months.”
