Anderson secures contracts at two major home building sites

Leading contractor Anderson has secured ongoing work at two major home building sites totalling £7million.

Multi-award-winning Anderson, which was established almost four decades ago, was awarded ongoing contracts at two sites in Maldon and Silver End, both in Essex.

The two new project successes for Anderson are based at the existing sites of Limebrook Park in Maldon and the Silver End site near Witham.

Both contract successes for the company are continuations of work won back in 2018.

Andrew Nowosad, Associate Commercial Director of Construction at Anderson, said the wins are testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team.

He added: “I am pleased to confirm that we have gone onto secure the balance of all groundworks for 111 units on Phase 3 of the Taylor Wimpey Handley Gardens development at Limebrook Park.  Having secured the first contract back in 2018, the project team have done a fantastic job in continuing to deliver and satisfy the high level of safety and quality Anderson prides itself on setting out to achieve.”

Limebrook Park is a development of 650 one- to five-bedroom homes from Taylor Wimpey.

Contracted by Taylor Wimpey, Anderson has so far completed all groundworks on Phase 1 of the home building, consisting of 200 houses and infrastructure including all associated new estate roads, together with an extensive wider work package stretching over 1.5 miles.

Michael O’Leary, Regional Operations Director at Taylor Wimpey London, said: “We are pleased to be working with Anderson for a further two years. The team has done an excellent job on our Handley Gardens development so far and we look forward to continuing our positive relationship as we move onto the next phase of work.”

Anderson has also secured the second phase at Redrow Eastern’s home building development in Silver End, to supply groundworks and infrastructure to 45 units.

The Meadow View site is a collection of three- and four-bedroom homes near Braintree, at the unique village which was created by window maker, Francis Crittall, to house his factory workers in the 1920s.

Andrew added: “Securing this, the second phase of three, was of paramount importance and again demonstrates the great work undertaken by all involved in getting this project across the line during a competitive tendering process. I’d like to commend the project delivery team in the work they have done to continually deliver in the Anderson way on a site that has been both technically and logistically challenging. Both projects further exemplify our aim and ambition to secure multiphase sites.”

Mark Wooldridge, Construction Director at Redrow Eastern, said: “We pride ourselves on creating wonderful communities for our homeowners, combining best in class homes with carefully designed landscapes. We therefore understand how important it is to partner with highly valued contractors such as Anderson, and we look forward to continuing working with them across our developments.”

Anderson’s Managing Director of Construction, Steve Howe, said: “We are very pleased to be able to announce these two new project successes, both the continuation of existing contracts which really highlights the hard work by Anderson teams, demonstrating our commitment to exemplary safety and quality and further strengthening Anderson’s relationship with Taylor Wimpey and Redrow Eastern.

“We are proud to partner with both companies yet again and look forward to delivering incredible end results at both sites.”
