Anderson shortlisted for two Housebuilder Awards
01 October 2021
Anderson is in the running for two prestigious accolades in this year’s Housebuilder Awards.
The company is a finalist in two categories – Best Regeneration Initiative for The Quarry in Erith and Subcontractor/Services Provider of the Year.
The Quarry project includes 849 new homes, a large state-of-the-art primary school, ecology park and commercial space.
Glenn Potter, Managing Director – Development, said he was delighted that The Quarry had caught the judges’ eyes.
“We’re really proud of our involvement in the regeneration of The Quarry and thrilled to be award finalists,” he said.
“This is the largest single-scheme programme of its kind in the South East, breathing new life in the once-derelict 50-acre site.
“Along with our partners, L&Q, we are using our joint expertise to deliver on a site previously considered undevelopable.
“This scheme has drastically enhanced and regenerated a neglected, dangerous plot which will become a true asset to the community.”
Steve Howe, Managing Director – Construction, said it was an honour to be recognised for providing high-quality services to most of the UK’s largest housebuilders.
“We have an industry-renowned reputation for safety, quality and delivery and in terms of innovation in service and work delivered,” he said. “We’re delighted to be recognised for this by being shortlisted in these awards.”
Recent projects include a 750-home Redrow Homes development in Witham with the delivery of a technically challenging Section 278 public highway package.
Anderson is also working on a Hopkins Homes 168-property development in Needham Market with groundworks, associated external works and infrastructure.
He added: “As a multi-disciplinary construction and property development company, with operations across London and the East of England, we pride ourselves on our high standards of professionalism and collaboration with all our project team and fellow trades.”
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in November in London.
Earlier this year, Anderson scooped a First Time Buyer Readers’ Award for Best Large Development for its 131-acre Faversham Lakes development.
The development also won the Best First Time Buyer Award at the Evening Standard New Homes Awards.
In further success, Project Manager Alan Clarke was recognised by the National House Building Council (NHBC) for excellence in on-site management at its annual Pride in the Job awards for Faversham Lakes.
