Ian of The Quarry lands prestigious industry award

Anderson Project Manager, Ian Cunnane (pictured), has been recognised by the National House Building Council (NHBC) for excellence in on-site management at its annual Pride in the Job awards, which were announced on October 30.

Ian, who heads up Anderson’s flagship Quarry development in Erith, South London, was selected from more than 11,000 entries, of which just 450 were selected for their excellent standards on site and the quality of the construction they’re managing.

Speaking of the award, Ian said: “We’re just getting on with the job at Erith, even through this difficult period.

“This award could not have been achieved without the excellent support and assistance of my team.

“We’ve all worked very hard to get to this point and that shows in what’s being delivered.”

Now in its 40th year, a Pride in the Job award is one the most highly regarded accolades of the construction sector. According to NHBC, the winning site managers demonstrate incredible dedication, passion, commitment and leadership to produce homes of exceptional quality.

The competition is fully inclusive and representative of the UK house-building industry. It has four categories for different sized businesses: small, medium, multi-storey and large.

Anderson Group Development Director, Sean Emmett, said: “All of us at Anderson are incredibly proud of Ian’s achievement.

“Ian’s calm and considered leadership style, and his ongoing commitment to excellence, are great examples of what drives our company forward.

“Well done, Ian. You deserve it.”
