Four employees from Anderson have received long-service awards for their commitment to the company.
The leading company is recognising the commitment of four exemplary employees: Ron Sant – 30 years, Steve May – 30 years, Rob Deans – 25 years and Scott Keeble – 20 years.
Mark Anderson and Andrew Jay recognised the long service with a ceremony in the company’s head office in Chelmsford.
Ron Sant, better known to colleagues as Rocket, has spent 30 years at Anderson, progressing from Senior Site Manager to currently running the company’s operations on the Crest Nicholson site in Maldon.
“It has been a challenging and rewarding 30 years. I’ve always felt supported by the management team, they really look after people,” he said.
Steve May has also spent 30 years at Anderson where he is known as ‘Stella’ Steve. He is recognisable to many members of the public – motorists in particular – as the face of Anderson because he runs the company’s specialist off-site highway works known formerly as S278 works.
Each day, he and his team work on the public highway managing motorists who are disgruntled about being inconvenienced. Of his work, Steve said: “Every day brings its challenges, but I find solutions not problems. actions, not excuses.”
Colleague Rob Deans has marked 25 years at Anderson. He is seen as a role model for young new employees.
The company supported him through college to complete both an ONC in Civil Engineering and an HNC in Construction. Rob is now a Project Manager for Anderson.
Scott Keeble has worked for Anderson for 20 years and is known for as the Zen master for his calm nature. He has run many groundworks sites for Anderson including the Barratt’s site in Ipswich, Gants Hill, Stanway, Mistley, Witham and Silver End.
Andrew Jay said: “The long service given by these four men is truly remarkable.
“Each of them has brought unique skills and talents to every job they have worked on. It is thanks to their commitment and hard work alongside that of all our brilliant employees, that Anderson continues to enjoy success with the many projects we have taken on.
“They are amazing ambassadors for the company and a true example of what can be achieved with hard work and effort.”
