Taking ownership of the former Brett Aggregate site in January 2018, Anderson Group is working to deliver 330 homes, a country park with lakes, and a heritage hub on this former war-time gunpowder works.

Works include:

  • Restoration of eight on-site listed buildings
  • Creation of an ecologically rich and biodiverse country park, open to the public
  • Upgrading and realignment of two local roads, with the provision of a school car park
  • Development of 330 high-quality homes

Site Constraints

  • 2 large former quarries – backfilled with commercial and household landfill waste
  • Retention and improvement to on-site areas of ecological interest
  • Complete renovation of 9 on-site heritage buildings
  • Off-site highway and infrastructure improvements
  • Major ground-modelling / geo-engineering to deliver residential scheme in such proximity to flood zones
  • Removal of Japanese Knotweed, including treatment of infected soil
