River Reach will create a new community of 235 new homes near the Stour Estuary, Essex.
The Hopkins Home development on Harwich Road, Mistley, was formally arable fields before work started in early 2018.
Anderson’s involvement on the project includes the construction of house foundations, substructure brickwork, suspended and ground bearing oversites, domestic drainage and external works.
In addition, Anderson has undertaken minor S278 works to form the site entrance, on-site infrastructure including roads, footpaths, cycleways and drainage up to 3.25m deep, balancing ponds and crate soakaways.
We have also been commissioned to build a large 3,500m² attenuation pond.
Since breaking ground, Anderson worked closely with Hopkins Homes to first deliver phase one, and in October 2021 it secured the second and final phase.
We worked with Brett Group (phase one) and Tru Group (phase two) to undertake significant topsoil stripping and cut and fill when commencing each phase.
There will be local amenities delivered within the wider scheme including an allotment area for local residents, together with children’s play areas and extensive public open spaces, over-looking fields and the estuary of the River Stour.
The Site Managers for this project are Scott and Darren Keeble, working with a team of 30 people from Anderson.
- Work began March 2018
- Work is due for completion in June 2024
